2012 Washington Metro DC Chapter Contractor of the Year (CotY) Award from the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) for Best Bathroom Renovation

An avid HGTV viewer, the homeowner dreamed of having one of the beautiful bathrooms featured on many of the network’s shows. The client’s former bathroom and closet configuration was odd. You had to go through the bathroom to get to one of two closets. There was also a sink in one of the closets. The client wanted a completely renovated, reconfigured and updated bathroom and closet.

The new bathroom is a significant improvement over the old, outdated one. We needed to design the new bathroom and closet within the existing space and at the same time totally change the floor plan and circulation; but that was accomplished with no problem.

There is a stylistic theme in many of the finishes; the stripe of grey marble in the tile flooring, the stripe of grey/green glass tile in the shower and tub area, the striped effect of the zebra wood in the cabinet and the rectangular mirror. The overall look is consistent and flows well. The materials are beautiful but also functional and easy to keep clean.

The husband and wife clients are very happy with their new bathroom. They have a much better bathroom space and closet and the wife tells us it is EXACTLY what she envisioned while watching HGTV.
