Our clients do a lot of casual entertaining. Their kitchen was a main gathering area, but got crowded quickly, so they needed more space and more seating at the island. They also wanted a fireside seating area adjacent to the kitchen with space to accommodate a few comfortable chairs. They also wanted more conditioned casual living space closer to the kitchen. Their screened-in-porch and uncovered deck were underutilized due to poor access to these spaces. Lastly, they needed more space for a mudroom, laundry and an extra garage bay adjacent to the kitchen as well.
