Our on-staff architects and designers
develop customized designs while working with our on-staff cost
estimator to make sure that what we design is priced realistically
for the level of finishes you expect. This reduces the need for
“change orders” that can increase the cost of a project
during construction. The latter is a common practice with some
builders. The price they give you up front may seem very reasonable,
but the price may continually go up during the project with requests
for additional money for things that were not anticipated in the
planning up front.
On-staff product selection assistance helps you sort through
the hundreds of product options for your project. We discovered
several years ago that it is to your advantage to have a seasoned
professional help you navigate through the myriad of product selections
and help you narrow choices effectively. It also helps us because
product decisions can be made more efficiently and we can keep
our time commitments to you.
Detailed design plans and detailed construction contracts make
sure that you have no monetary surprises during construction.
The only contract price changes you’ll experience during
construction are changes you decide to make.*
We deal with all of the detailed permitting processes for construction
and mechanical permits that are required for a safe project and
county/city approval. We manage the sometimes complicated process
within area governments, including Public Health and land use issues.
You will be assigned a personal site manager. This site manager
manages your project and your project alone, for the duration
of the project. This means you will never have to deal with managing
a subcontractor yourself. It is our job to make sure the subcontractor
knows what to do, has all the materials needed for the job and
respects the Bowers rules-attached.
Your site manager, and the whole Bowers team, is available to
you 24X7. We are only a phone call away.
We have on-staff carpenters so that we can guarantee the quality
of work on your project. The longevity of a problem free construction
project is largely within the quality of the carpentry.
We hire subcontractors/tradesmen (plumbers, masons, etc.) that
pass our high quality standards. Most of our subcontractors have
worked with us for many years and have a proven track record with
us.
We clean the project site EVERY DAY to keep the dirt and dust
to a controllable level and keep your project safe for your family,
your pets and your neighbors. This can make a huge difference
if you are living in your home during construction. Dust and construction
debris needs to be controlled daily to reduce the negative effect
on the rest of your home.
When construction is complete, we do a thorough “walk-through”
with you to make sure you are completely satisfied. We are not
done until every aspect of your project meets our standards and
yours.
After construction, we professionally clean your entire home,
even the parts that we didn’t work on. We also have resources
to help you move furniture and hang window treatments and art
work. All of this is intended to help you start to enjoy your
new space as soon as possible.
After construction, we offer you a full one year warranty on
all work conducted. However, long after one year, we are always
there for you. We are just a phone call away! All Bowers’
clients have our commitment to service for life, even if it’s
not associated with the work we did on your home.
At the end of the project, we will give you a binder, complete
with all your product selections, paint colors, and product instruction
booklets. This reference book is an invaluable tool as you maintain
your home in the future.
We contact you at the end of year one and year two, post your
project completion, to make sure you are still thrilled with your
project and that you don’t need our help on any home issues.
