After visiting a friend in Nantucket, our client came home with a desire to remodel her master bathroom making it feel more like a coastal retreat. The bathroom was showing its age and the space needed maintenance and updating. The client wanted her large tub removed and replaced with a free-standing soaker tub. Her new shower is curb-less with upgraded fixtures. Overall the after bathroom has better colors and finishes to compliment the fresh, clean white coastal feel.

After: Master Bathroom Floorplan. The after master bath maintained basically the same footprint; it was just reorganized to make better use of the space.
The before tub and tub deck consumed the room.
The after master bath now features a free-standing Jacuzzi tub surrounded by windows, sky-lights and white bead-board wainscoting to give the client that Nantucket coastal feel she wanted in her bath retreat.
The before bathroom was quite dated.
Before Bathroom
The after bathroom has soothing neutral tones. The flooring is unpolished 12 X 24 field tile in color-Mist. The shower surround mimics the bead board wainscoting. Frameless shower door provides a clean look. The shower features Carrara tile; 3 X 12 on the walls and 1” honeycomb on the floor.
Bright white, frameless, shaker style cabinets continue with the client’s coastal theme. Silestone Nebula Series Helix Polished counter top is the perfect compliment to the cabinets and flooring. Simple white framed mirrors and sconces give the room that older beach house feel.
Before Bathroom
While it is a simple change, our client appreciates our suggestion to change the orientation of the commode to face the view from the windows versus the side of the shower.
Our client couldn’t be happier with her new coastal inspired bath retreat.
